It has been one year since Harry Potter defeated the evil Lord Voldemort. Those remaining loyal Death Eaters want revenge upon any who dared to challenge their master, though it would appear they have already had many victories. Mad-Eye Moody, Nymphadora Tonks, Remus Lupin, Fred Weasley, and Severus Snape are among the great number of casualties on the side of good. Many Death Eaters were killed or captured. But how long before those remaining are able to brake free once more?
Luckily our heroes managed to survive, and are already on the path to happiness. Harry Potter and Ginny Weasley were married, and are already expecting their first child. Ron Weasley has finally made an honest woman of Hermione Granger, just in time for the birth of their born, Rose.
And yet, amidst the darkness, may we find light. Minerva McGonagall is still Headmistress of Hogwarts, and welcomes new students every year. And this year is no exception.
Many secrets have come out since the final battle, McGonagall being privy to them all in Dumbledore's absence. Though she may not be able to tell you why, she has made it her decision to keep the school running, and staff it as she sees fit.
