Jack dragged his trunk off of the train, there were only a few other people at the station thankfully. He would admit to himself he was glad his mother had allowed him to come a few days early. But he'd never tell her that. At eleven he was now a young man and while he did need his mother he didn't need her for EVERYTHING.
It had only gotten worse after his Da had died. Sometimes he felt as though she was smothering him. Granted he knew it must be hard for her too, but she needed to give him some space too! Luckily she'd had to go to Hogwarts a few weeks early to see to her new post, no posts since it seemed she'd be teaching now too. Maybe it would help her, or at least occupy her time some.
He did miss her, but it had been nice spending time with Grandpa Rogan the last few weeks. They'd talked a lot about his father all the good times. Jack had learned a lot from him in that short time. He also learned to try to give his mum a break. So now he stood waiting for her to meet him. He had been a bit nasty to her before she left, but his fathers death had been hard on him as well.
Setting down his trunk he sat on it and waited.

She rushed to the station to pick meet her son. She carried the bag of candy she'd purchased earlier for him. It was a bit of a peace offering since they had in fact parted on not the best of terms a few short weeks ago.
Spotting him seated on his trunk she smiled and picked up the pace a bit. She stopped a little ways from him, she'd wanted nothing more that to hug him and hold him, but he was a young man now. To old for his Mum. "Hello love, good trip?" Keely noticed his hair was a bit longer than it should be, but wouldn't start on him, right now.

He smiled at her, after all he did miss her. How could he not she was his mother. "It was a bit long, but not bad. Granda says hello." He stood and decided it wouldn't kill him to give her a hug. Besides no one was really around. That and Jack was trying to do as his Granda had asked...to give his Mum a break. Noticing the bag he grinned. "Is that for me?"

"Aye, 'tis." She smiled and handed him the bag from the sweets shop. "There's all of your favorites in there." Keely paused to get a better look at him, he'd grown up so much in the few weeks since she'd last seen him. At least she had thought he did. He looked so much like his father which was in a way a comfort and painful.
"How's Granda? Well, I hope?"
