Aiden was wanting to take some time to himself. His favorite pastime was drawing, at which he was fairly good. He tried sitting in the boy's dorm but there were too many nosy people in there at the moment. He also tried the common room, but found the same problem. Carrying a sketchbook and a case of pencils he left the tower, but as he passed one of the many windows that looked over the castle grounds he realized something. There was no place that he would be able to find to be by himself. It was a Saturday, and everyone was in the mood for some fun, which often meant loud chatter.
Aiden paced back and forth one section of the hallway, thinking of someplace to find where he could draw in peace. Figuring it was useless, and finally giving up, he started back to the common room. It was then that he noticed a door he hadn't seen before. Curious he opened it, and found the room it led to empty of people. He looked back down the hallway, right then left. He saw no one there and shrugged.
"As long as there's no one here...."
He stepped into the room and shut the door behind him. He had never been in this room before, but as he looked around he wondered why. There was a large easel in one corner next to a shelf filled with paints and canvases. In another corner was a drawing table, stocked with charcoal pencils and sheets of parchment, all different sizes. In the center of the room sat a green printed fainting couch adorned with a mixture of pillows.
Aiden let out a gasp in amazement. This was the perfect place for him to draw in peace. He sat his sketchbook on the drawing table and pulled a pencil from his case. His hand moved swiftly and deliberately across the page, making soft strokes with the graphite. He finished one picture in little over an hour, not bothering to take a break. It was then, as he looked at the picture of Jen he had drawn, that he decided she needed to see this room as well. He left, leaving his personal supplies on the table. He didn't expect to be gone long, and thought that if anyone was going to come in here, they would have done so already.
