Minerva entered her classroom, prepared to start the new term off well. She was excited to be teaching this year, and the students - hopefully - would be excited to learn. Leaving the door open for her pupils, she stood stiffly in front of her desk.
There was nothing exceptionally interesting about the room. Multiple rows of tables, each table seating two students. The wall were currently bare, but as term progressed the stone would become hidden behind diagrams and the like.

Leonardo filed in along with the rest of the class. He found an empty seat in the front of the room and took it. He pulled out his supplies, and set them on the desk, along with his wand. He hoped today the professor would simply give a review and send them off without homework, but he doubted that that would be the case.

She had waited long enough, and even though some of the students were not yet present she prepared herself to start her lesson. "Good morning class. You all have decided to stay on with Transfiguration this year, and you've made a smart decision. But now that you're older, and presumably wiser, I expect a great deal more focus and seriousness from all of you." She had always expected her classes to be serious as this class, she felt, was one of the most important offered at Hogwarts to date.
"I assume you all have your books; Guide To Advanced Transfiguration. Please turn to page thirteen." With a flick of her wand her own book flipped open revealing page thirteen entitled Human Transfiguration. "This year we will be focusing on Human Transfiguration," she paused noting the air of excitement surrounding the children. "Of course it is one thing to transfigure a dish into toad, but it is quite another to transform a toad into a dish."
She paced in front of her desk as she spoke. "The more complex the object is, the harder it will be to transfigure. And obviously a human is a far more complex creature than a toad. With that in mind, I would like everyone to come up to the front of the class and take a toad." She walked around her desk and pulled large cage full of toads out from under it. "One per student please." She waited to go on, wanting everyone to have a toad before she began again.

Leonardo stood, shoving his wand back into his pocket. He knew better than to leave it lying around on a desk, even if he was only going up to the front of the class and back straight away. He walked between the rows of tables up to the professor's desk. There were many toads rivviting loudly in the cage. He picked a grayish green toad that was much fatter than the others and had a few more warts atop his head. He was an ugly toad. Holding the amphibian with both hands Leonardo made his way back to his desk.

Ryan stood up from his seat and walked behind Leo to get a toad. The toad he got was kind of big as well, but not as big as Leo's was, but it still was a good size. This was going to be fun, Ryan thought to himself Transfiguration was one of his favorite and best class. He took he seat again and opened his book and waited for the next directions.

Seeing that everyone had a toad resting on their desk she continued. "Now, does anyone know the proper incantation to transfigure your toad into a plate?" Whomever could answer this question properly would recieve house points.
((As far as I know, Rowling has mentioned Switching Spells, but not given any incantations. Most of the incantations are taken from Latin roots, so it's up to you to use your creative minds to answer this question!))

"Bufo Lanks" Ryan spoke out loud, he had read something last year about chaining animate objects into inanimate object and he remembered reading something about a toad and a plate. He wasn't totally sure it was right, but he went for it anyway.

"Precisely. Five points to Gryffindor. Now, does everyone have their wand ready? Good. Watch me please. Bufolanks." As she said this she moved her wand in a circular motion twice, with a little flick at the end. One of the remaining toads on her desk instantly transformed into a dinner plate with a coral trim, making a gentle popping noise as it changed. "Now, you all try."
((Remember this should be the first time you are using this spell. Therefore you should not be able to turn your toad into a plate on the first try.))

Leonardo held his wand tightly in his right hand and repeated the professor's wand movement. At the same time he said "bufolanks." There was a small popping noise, similar to the professors, but instead of his toad turning into a plate, his toad simply turned bright blue. Leonardo went to pick it up and realized the toad, while still alive and rivviting loudly, the creature now felt as though it was made of porcelien.
