Evie rested her back against the cold stone of the dungeon walls. She had sent a message to Asher, under the name of someone else, and was fairly certain the moron would show up. The section of dungeon corridor she stood in was poorly lit, the nearest sconce was probably ten feet from her, which put Evie in a dark shadow.

Jen had recieved a letter from one of the younger students in her house, asking for her help with a project. The letter said she would meet her in one of the empty dungeons, and being Jen, she thought she would try to help out best she could. The hallway was dark and Jen squinted her eyes to make out a figure in the distance. This wasn't who she had been expecting. She had been tricked.

Evie smiled as Jen came closer to her. She stepped out of the dark shadows and sneered. "You know, I thought of countless ways to get you down here alone. But I knew your disgusting need to help people would work the best."

"Are you scared of me, Evelyn? Is that why you needed to get me alone?" Jen wasn't smiling like she usually was. She had a very serious look on her face. Evelyn was bad news, Jennifer knew that.

She stepped even closer to Jen and slowly circled her like a vulture. "It's not that I don't like your little hero friend. I do. He's rather handsome actually." She licked her lips while an image of Ryan came to her mind.
She stopped directly in front of Jen and pushed her hard on the shoulders. "I just don't like when he gets in the way."

Jen clinched her teeth as Evelyn started talking about Ryan. Only they were allowed to tease eachother about him rescuing her. She was quite capable of saving herself should the occasion arise. And it seemed it had. Jen stumbled backwards when Evelyn pushed her. She drew her wand as she balanced herself. "Don't touch me."

"Oooh. Has the ickle Gwyffindor finally learned how to duel?" Evie spoke in a baby voice, as she usually did when taunting the dumb girl. She imagined Jen would understand it better than big people talk.
Evie drew her wand as well and held it firmly on Jen. "You see icklekins, you're supposed to do something with that wand. Aguamenti!"

Jen was hit with a spray of water that soaked her from head to toe. She wiped the water from her face, though it dripped from her hair down her nose. She used a drought charm to dry up the water on and around her. "I know how to use a wand Evelyn. But civilized people talk before they act."

Evie laughed loudly and gave Jen another evil look. "It's a good thing I'm not very civil, isn't it? Furnunculus!" She liked playing with Jen this way, especially since the girl didn't seem to fight back. It was all too easy.

Jen jumped slightly as she deflected the nasty curse that Evelyn had thrown at her. Obviously they weren't going to solve anything by talking. Fight fire with fire, Jen told herself. She hated sinking to Evelyn's level, but if she didn't do something soon she was going to end up in the hospital wing. "Rictusempra."

"Protego." Evie was too quick for the fifth year and deflected the spell with ease. "Please! A tickling charm? You really are making this far too easy."
Evie smiled as she thought of something else to throw Jen's way. "Serpensortia." A snake burst from Evie's wand and slithered over to Jen, hissing. "Have you met my pet, Slither? Don't worry, he's really very gentle. I've trained him to only attack Gryffindors. Ooops. I guess that means you."

The snake hissed and snapped at Jen's ankles. She didn't like snakes much, probably because it reminded her of Slytherins. "That's so typical, you're pet is a snake. I guess it takes after you then." She pointed her wand at the snake and used a banishing charm, to make the creature go away. "I've had enough of this. I don't even know why you don't like me."

Evie scowled as jen banished her snake. "That wasn't very nice Asher. I've been nice up until now, but I don't know if I can keep it up. It's so exhausting." She completely ignored Jen's remark about not knowing why Evie hated her. It was so obvious it didn't need to be said.

Jen almost felt bad for getting rid of Evelyn's pet, but almost wasn't entirely. "I don't think you're being nice at all. And I don't feel like being nice to you anymore either. Densaugeo." It was rare that Jen got mad enough to hex someone, but Evelyn had pushed all of her buttons and jumped on every last nerve.

Evie hadn't been expecting a spell like this from Asher. It was rather uncharacteristic of her. But she was able to block it anyway. Afterwards she wished she had deflected it back onto Jen. It would have been funny to see that big mouth filled with teeth to match. She pointed her wand at Jen and fired a blasting curse straight at her.
